2025 Bridal Fashion Trends

We're always on the pulse of what's hot and happening in the world of bridal fashion! As we get ready to step into the new year, the 2025 wedding dress trends are more exciting and diverse than ever before. Whether you're dreaming of a timeless classic gown or something more modern and daring, this year's trends have something for every bride. Let's dive into the newest wedding dress styles you'll definitely be seeing next year!

1.) Basque Waist

Last year's trend of drop waist wedding gowns has not gone anywhere! In fact, it’s evolved into what we’ll be seeing much more of this upcoming year - basque waistline gowns. The pointed waistline is a trademark of this new trend and designers have been utilizing this waistline tons of different fabrics from fully lace to romantic chiffon. Designers have been pairing this trend with corsets too for an extra snatched look! A basque waistline is incredibly flattering so if you weren’t a huge fan of drop waist gowns but still want a little something different in the silhouette of your gown, give this new trend a try!

2.) Dramatic Draping

Think romance and Grecian sculptures for this one. Not only are we seeing a lot of draping fabrics included in the decor of weddings for this upcoming 2025 season, but designers have started incorporating similar ruching in new their newest collections! One of my personal favorite looks that includes this trend is this Stella York gown - from the pearl and floral embellishments to the gorgeous draping by the waist, this gown is the epitome of classic with a modern twist.

3.) Bubble Hems

Some may have hated them before and some may still hate them now but whether you like them or not, bubble hems are back! This very 2000’s trend is creeping back into the bridal world in a new, modern way. Bubble hems can give gowns a fun, flirty touch or they can play into the dramatic silhouette they give gowns. Jenny Yoo has dipped her toe into this trend already with their ultra cute mini dresses that are perfect for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner look! I’m 100% sure we’ll be seeing bubble hems make their way into full on wedding gowns soon too, mark my words.

4.) Unique Textures

This trend isn’t necessarily new to 2025 but instead, we’ll be seeing a continuation of it. The not-so-traditional bride will be excited to find a number of pieces this season with bold textures that break out from the norm. Designers will be getting more creative with their fabric choices to put a new spin on a more classic style of gown. Jenny Yoo has been toying with new fabrics here and there like their Iridescent Chiffon fabric seen in the Noa gown. This gown is flowy, dreamy perfection! Brooklyn based designer Loulette Bridal might take the crown for textured fabrics. They have everything from a Hammered Silk to a metallic Silk Silver Organza seen in their Lizzie gown!

5.) Sheer Elegance

See-through details have only become more and more popular over the past year with a ton of celebrities incorporating some kind of sheer piece in their looks. Sheer bodices have been seen for the past couple of seasons for an added touch of sexiness. A newer trend to the bridal world is the sheer skirts for a super ethereal, barely-there kind of look. Jenny Yoo has been using sheer fabric to create not only sleeves but capes as well in their Olivia gown.

6.) Corsets

The word “snatched” has been a major part of almost every bride’s vocabulary as of late. A corset is providing that extra boning and structure that will make you feel sculpted in your wedding dress! It's not surprising to see this Bridgerton-esque trend continue to flourish into next year considering its lengthening and silhouette-snatching effects. Designers have been getting more and more creative with corsets and that’s not changing in 2025. From sheer bodices with exposed boning to a more subtle look that's a little more of a hidden detail - we’re going to be seeing a ton of corsets next year!

7.) A Tulle Resurgence

In recent years, whenever brides have tried on tulle gowns, they might've felt a little too “prom-y” but designers have a new take on how to make tulle more bridal and less high school. Tulle has been a constant in the wedding dress world for decades but the classic tulle skirt hasn’t had a major resurgence until now. Tulle gives an incredibly feminine feel, especially when used in a ballgown - we finally get to live out our ballerina dreams! This brand new gown from Madi Lane is a great example of how tulle will be used this upcoming 2025 bridal season.

8.) Chantilly Lace

Last but certainly not least, this dainty & feminine trend isn’t going anywhere! The French inspired Chantilly Lace made a big splash in 2024 and has only gotten more and more innovative as the year has gone on. It’s no surprise that lace has continued to reign supreme as a favorite fabric of bridal designers. Two of our newest arrivals have quickly become staff favorites, the Enzoani Una and Urvashi gowns are the perfect example of how a fully lace gown can feel classic and modern at the same time.
