Real Wedding: Dani + Sam

Dani & Sam hosted their wedding celebration last September at Black Swan’s Riverwalk locations - located literally right in the heart of the Third Ward! You couldn't ask for a more urban backdrop for their day - from a deeply historical feel of their venue to the modern elements along the riverwalk, they had a mix of this beautiful city incorporated in every detail! Our Miss Ruby Bride Dani was gracious enough to share some moments from their wedding celebration along with her experience here!

Dani's Miss Ruby Experience

Let's start at the beginning when Dani was first looking for her dress! She writes "Miss Ruby is an absolute gem! By really getting to know me and my vision, they helped me find the perfect dress that not only fit my personality but made me feel like an absolute queen on my wedding day. Dani also said yes to a gown from our RISE Collection which makes it even more special. When Dani said yes to her dress, the organization we donated to was The Ability Center, who's goal is to provide a higher quality of life for people of all abilities by transforming greater Milwaukee into the most universally inclusive recreation destination in the world.

Dani + Sam's Wedding Day

This late September wedding day at the Black Swan Riverwalk was nothing short of magical. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the river and Milwaukee backdrop, the love between these two brides radiated brighter than ever. Sam and Dani added an extra touch of elegance by walking down the aisle to the enchanting melodies of live string music followed by an exchange of heartfelt vows, surrounded by 225 of their family and friends (or who they like to call "chosen family"). The atmosphere was electric, with Milwaukee drag queens taking the stage, captivating the guests with their dazzling performances that celebrated love in all its forms. Throughout the evening a live poet crafted personalized poems for guests as a unique way to remember the night. Their presence added an extra layer of intimacy and artistry to the festivities, ensuring that every moment was infused with meaning and emotion. Laughter, tears, and joy filled the air as the night unfolded, culminating in a celebration of love, diversity, and unity that they will never forget!
